Join Marni for a tour of Katherine's 'Decentering the Human' garden in Mountake Terrace! These tours are offered for free to build community and share knowledge around ecological gardening practices.
Katherine will be giving us a tour of her habitat garden, an abundant space providing food and homes for people and wildlife. See her transformed front lawn, now a year-round food forest, and explore her backyard garden designed to prioritize the needs of non-human neighbors. Tour inside the greenhouse she built with recycled windows.
During the tour, Katherine will share ecological strategies she has deployed to:
- Improve soil health
- Manage water and organic matter relative to topography
- Upcycle materials
- Make five kinds of compost
- Maximize planting space
- Create beauty, and
- Approach plants and other living beings with good vibes
Ask questions, see wildlife-friendly practices in action, and be in the harmony of a garden that serves all its inhabitants.
